NOTL Community Palliative Care SHRED-IT Event
Saturday, August 18 is the date for this year’s community SHRED-IT event in Niagara- on-the-Lake, sponsored by Meridian Credit Union and organized by Niagara-on-the- Lake (NOTL) Community Palliative Care Service.
SHRED-IT provides residents with a convenient and economical way to dispose of confidential documents and at the same time raises funds to support Niagara-on-the- Lake Community Palliative Care Service. For over 30 years, this community-based volunteer organization has been offering free of charge services including trained visiting volunteers, equipment and bereavement support.
Residents are encouraged to bring documents to the parking lot of Meridian Credit Union, 1567 Niagara Stone Road, Virgil, from 9 am until 1 pm on August 18 or until the trucks are full. For a charge of $6 a banker’s box or 3 boxes for $15, their confidential material will be professionally shredded. It is not necessary to remove paper clips or staples from the documents. However, ring binders, alligator clips and thick plastic will not be accepted for shredding.
Protect yourself from identity fraud and support an important community service by joining us on Saturday, August 18.
