Today, students and staff at numerous post-secondary campuses across Ontario are speaking up, taking action and encouraging their campus to become part of the smoke-free movement. In support, Niagara Region Public Health and Leave The Pack Behind are hosting a 1DayStand event at Brock University to raise awareness with staff and students of the benefits of a smoke-free campus, and to collect signatures in support of a smoke-free campus policy. The event takes place between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. in the Sean O’Sullivan Theatre lobby.

CAA Niagara kicked off the 15th Worst Roads campaign today with a request for drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians to advocate for better, safer roads in Niagara. Representatives from local government, police services and the Niagara Region, got a first-hand experience of the good, the bad and the bumpy roads of Niagara during a 60-minute bus tour that highlighted roads needing improvement and showcasing roads that have been fixed over the last 15 years.

The Town of Niagara On The Lake has set aside a significant site in the heart of the Old Town to understand, celebrate, and honour it's Black History.
